Biografia: Nata il 10 Luglio 1958 a County Cork da genitori appartenenti a due religioni diverse. Frequenta la Royal Academy of Dramatic Art a Londra. E' Un'attrice che ha una grande versatilità, soprattutto in ambito comico, tuttavia impersona con estrema facilità ruoli drammatici grazie alle espressioni del suo viso. Ha ricevuto molti premi per le sue performance teatrali. Risiede in Thaxed con il suo compagno Saffron Burrows.
